It came with a blast: summer!
And that’s why I’ve been glued to my screen watching the green leaves only through the window. One needs to get all the work finished and done before the vacation.
Real-time live sketchnoting season ended with a gig in Barcelona. My work there got a lot of positive feedback both from the attendees and the organizers. (Oh, did I just praise my own work, did I?) The sketchnoting gigs start again in August and the autumn highlights include Nordic Business Forum and their great speaker line-up: who would have guessed they bring in President Barack Obama as one of their speakers!
Off to Finnish West coast to do some sketchnoting
During my vacation I will… Gee, I don’t know, I haven’t planned. My holiday mood will however have a small break as I cover some of the SuomiAreena discussions in the city of Pori here in Finland. SuomiAreena is the Finnish version of Almedalsveckan in Sweden: a public debate forum where topics are related with politics, society, culture and sports.
European doodlers – unite!
At the end of my summer break I’ll visit Denmark for some doodling action: the EuViz 2018 conference brings together European doodlers, graphic recordes and sketchnoters. At the conference, I’ll host a workshop together with Raquel Benmergui. The topic of the workshop is digital sketchnoting with an iPad. I also have another session in my programme where I speak about developing one’s work. It’s nice to get to be the speaker at times. I’m pretty used to having the role of a silent sketchnoter in the seminar corner.
There is still some work to be done (sorry!) but I really, really try to do it in the next couple of days.
